Who runs the HTGAB Store?
Shaftway Productions LLC, the company that produced How To Grow A Band, owns and operates the online Store. Shaftway uses Shopify’s secure, user-friendly e-commerce platform to host this Store and process transactions.
What does the HTGAB Store sell?
We launched the Store with one product in two flavors: the HTGAB Limited Edition 2-Disc set, in both BluRay and DVD format. As we expand and improve the Store over time we'll be adding other cool movie-related products like posters and T-shirts, so check back often!
How To Grow A Band is available on iTunes, Amazon and other digital platforms. Why would I want to buy the BluRay/DVD set?
The 90-minute feature film has been available on digital platforms in the US, UK, Canada and Australia since April 2012. However, the Limited Edition 2-disc set contains a second disc loaded with more than 3 hours of bonus material – outtakes from the film, previously unreleased performances, rehearsals and late-night picking sessions – that’s not available online or anywhere else. Plus the disc set comes in a deluxe eco-friendly package that contains original artwork and a booklet that features the names of the 677 folks who helped us make the disc set a reality on Kickstarter.
So, if you:
- Want to go even deeper behind the scenes than the feature film will take you
- Want a physical object that’s in limited supply to hold, treasure and come back to over time
- Haven’t seen the film yet and live outside of the US, UK, Canada or Australia
- Have a special someone for whom the disc set would make a perfect gift
I live in a country that uses the PAL standard. Will the discs work in my PAL disc player?
Maybe. Please note that the Limited Edition discs are NTSC video format only not PAL. However, most players sold in PAL regions (e.g. Europe) are able to play both NTSC and PAL formats. DVDs are "Region 0" encoded and BluRay discs are “region free” for maximum compatibility. If you have an older device or are unsure of your player's capabilities, please consult your device’s user manual before completing your purchase.
How do I activate my account?
Click Register here or in the upper right corner and fill out the required information and click Submit. You can then Log In and go back to a saved Shopping Cart and save time by going straight to Checkout without re-entering your address information.
What do you do with my information?
We do not sell your information or share it with anyone, unless we are required to do so by law. Via Shopify’s platform, the Store maintains high online security standards including secure sockets layer (SSL) certificate technology with 128-bit encryption and Level 1 Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express, Discover and PayPal payments.
We accept Checks and Money Orders from United States banks only. Please note that products will ship only once we have received the Check or Money Order and it has cleared. These orders will take longer to ship than orders paid by electronic payment. Please consider this delay when making year-end Holiday orders.
What happens after I complete my order?
Once we have received your order, you will receive an Order Confirmation email.
When your order has shipped, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email, which will contain a shipper tracking number.
How do you ship my orders?
All orders are sent via the United States Postal Service (USPS). We offer Standard and Express shipping options for orders in the United States and International destinations. Deliveries outside the United States may also use a local shipping partner in the destination country.
Do you ship outside of the United States?
Yes. Please note that orders to destinations outside of the United States will generally take additional time to be delivered depending on the foreign shipping partner USPS uses in your local country. Please also note that we are not authorized to collect any customs duties, tariffs, VAT or other applicable taxes in countries other than the United States. International customers may be required to pay certain applicable taxes upon delivery or the shipper may contact you to pick up the package from their location and pay certain taxes at that time.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery in the United States and 4-5 weeks for International Delivery. Around the holidays, delivery times tend to be longer. For specific Holiday ordering details and deadlines see Holiday Order Deadlines below.
After you receive your Shipping Confirmation email, delivery times are expected to be as follows, based on the shipping speed you have selected:
Delivery addresses in the United States:
- Standard Shipping: 3 - 5 business days
- Express Shipping: 1 - 2 business days
Delivery addresses outside the United States:
- Standard Shipping: Varies by destination
- Express Shipping: 3-5 business days (excluding local holidays)

What is the last day I can place my order to receive my shipment by December 24th?

What is your Return and Exchange policy?
Returns will be honored for a full refund (excluding shipping costs & any applicable international import duties) if the product is returned to us within 30 days of delivery unopened, in its original packaging and not damaged or tampered with in any way.
Exchanges will be honored if the product arrives damaged, defective or is lost in the mail.
We reserve the right to inspect and reject any exchange or refund requests that are not legitimate.

How many Limited Edition disc sets can I order?
Since a limited number of discs were produced, there is a limit of 10 disc sets per individual online order.
I am a reseller. Can I order more than 10 disc sets?
Yes. Larger orders are welcome, subject to inventory availability. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on special wholesale discounts.
I am an educational institution. Do you sell an Educational Version with public performance rights?
